The bars there cannot be beaten, the northern quarter is ace but its pretty much mostly the indie scene down there,which I love. Then there is Deansgate Locks and Printworks if you tastes lean more towards the pretencious side of things. Oh and Canal Street, has to be visited at least once!! Yes its the Gay Village but its one place you can be guaranteed a top night!
As for clubs that really depends on what your taste in music is?? There is something for everyone though!

oh forgot to add thats all in town itself, there are loads of other great places to eat, drink and be merry there that dont involve hitting town at all!
